Here's your Wednesday Whisper for today!
I've had my bouts of stress with health issues the past few months; it stretched my comfort zone and was draining.
But that's snow from yesterday.
Today as I wrote this whisper and saw my prep list for my trip to Germany, I felt a sting in my chest. And the "oh-boy-how-will I…." showed up. Ready to cause anxiety.
But to notice this is the first step, and acting to change it with tools that work is the second.
So, I wrote
On a sticky note.

Here are two things to pay attention to when you want to feel calmer.
- You have a choice.
I know to face the truth that you have a choice can trigger your defense mechanism when you're in the thick of it. But deep down, you know it's true!!
- Be real.
Real is to be grounded in the truth of what is happening to you. Not what your thoughts tell you.
Accept that and REFRAME
Be fully aware of being stressed out. Don't brush it away as bad or not wanted, or listen to the why-me-again story.
Remember, stress is not only triggered from the outside but also the inside, from your self-talk.

Notice where you feel stress in your body.
Breathe and let go.
Reframe: "I want to do this or that…"
