In all beginnings dwells a magic force!
Hello…..
Today I’m honoring the hero of my youth - Hermann Hesse, and his poem Stages.
When I left Germany in 1987 to live in the U.S., my dear friend Susanne 🥀 handed me an envelope to open on the plane.
She had taped the handwritten poem for my farewell on a magazine cutout of a field of flowers. We both knew it by heart. We recited it to each other on our rocky way to adulthood.
