It’s the last week of October, and a peek at the calendar makes it clear - the Holidays are near.
Thinking of the Holidays, knowing the family gets together, can trigger anxiety for many of us. Somehow, our family or close friends have a way of pushing our buttons; their words sting the most. But how to make a difference this year? Ask yourself:
How can I set better boundaries?
The best way for me is to prepare when I know it’s going to be challenging. And my best practice is:
Embody your boundaries!
Because thinking or talking about boundaries is one thing. Embodying them lets you step up. It means taking action and letting your body help you walk your talk.
How do we embody something? Take a moment and reflect on the familiar phrase, this woman embodies goodness. What does it mean? It means she brings what she feels inside to the outside. She walks her talk!
